  • I have been to 3 colleges and 2 other training schools. This is the WORST educational institute I have ever attended. In fact, calling it an ‘educational institute’ is a joke.

  • I just finished the cybersecurity program and while it wasn’t always easy, overall I had a great experience and I achieved my dream.

  • Nightmare. Classes are PowerPoint slogs, teaches aren’t particularly knowledgeable. I was able to pick out several errors or completely untrue statements/misinformation per day. Poor ventilation in all the classes, it gets pretty hot throughout the day. The location is in the basement of a mall right next to a major highway.

    Don’t waste your money here.

  • I recently graduated from the Medical Office Assistant – Unit Clerk program at Willis College. The education I received at Willis College has helped me find a well paying job at the hospital. If you want to get good education don’t listen to the negative people!

  • The Addictions CSW I received isn’t worth the paper it is printed on. No-one in the industry recognizes it , you’re not a social worker . You will end up doing a PSW job so you might as well save money and just take PSW.
The one bright side I had a good professor but he has since left.

  • Great program, instructors and admin staff. Needed to a new career, studied hard and got 2 job offers during my co-op-accepted one from a fortune 500 company. Thank you Willis College for changing my life. The programs are not easy, you have to work for it, maybe that’s why I started with over $55K in an entry level job with great opportunity for advancement.

  • Great program, teachers and admin staff., Very helpful and good guidance. I needed a new career and this was a great choice. Was hard work but well worth it, got 2 job offers during my co-op and now starting a rewarding career with a great fortune 500 company. Thank you Willis College!

  • I agree with many of the negative comments on this site. The owners/operators of this business do not care about you; they care about any dollar they can pull out of you and out of the system. Forget getting a job or any type of permanent placement with their so called degree. If you make the business management or teacher upset or demand something that you are entitled to, they will retaliate and lie about it when investigated. The owners have operated this business for a long time and they know all the tricks of the trade.
If you want to better yourself, go to a public college and spend all the necessary time to get a real degree.

  • Yeah… no!
    This college is a joke.
Stay away from this so called College. It’s one of the most expensive career colleges in the market and their quality and services do not match it.
They’ll take your money, whether you’re applying through OSAP, second career or with self-funding, that’s a guarantee. They will even promise you a job at the end of the
    course. But…
I’ve just graduated their Mobile Software Development course and all I got from them was a temporary part-time job at Giant Tiger as wharehouse worker and massive debt as a result.
They might even exploit your skills and availabilty for their own projects, with the promise of an hourly rate but never really pay you.
It’s been months since I’ve graduated and I still haven’t even received any kind of communication with some sort of information of what happens next.
Where’s my diploma? Where’s my trasncript?
Again, this school is a joke, don’t bother.
They’re crooks and their dishonest practices will hurt your chances of actually getting ahead on your career, which I guess it’s everyone’s goal.

  • This is my first time reviewing anything, however, Willis College deserve this bad review. I decided to attend Willis college ,so I can gain more practical experience in accounting field. I am a student at Uottawa in accounting. I graduated HR& Payroll at Willis College.

At first, don’t listen to Jeff. He lied to me that i can get books on the side and reduce the cost of my books. I did it. I signed books for those I didn’t have as a proof. Now, they are charging me all the books. They don’t want to bring the sheets that I signed, so It matches my words.

Second,Antoine, the accounting teacher, he is a fake. He is always talking about his CPA where he doesn’t help his students to success. He never answered any of questions. His reason was that I should know,so he won’t answer.

Adult from 30-50: You can go there because University ain’t easy for a person with other responsibilities like family.

Young from 20-30: Don’t waist your time or money because nobody there will give you a good example or become your role model in your career. We need people to inspire our future while we are young. Sorry but Willis College teachers are SCAMS.

    Thank you!

    Blessings.

  • Every thing the school tells you is a lie. Once they get your money your on your own. Jeff the admin head will paint a Rosey picture of the school that is the furthest thing from the truth. Your expected to study on your own time don’t expect any class room studies. The class is basically 4 hours of the teacher vetting about their life . DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

  • The Ottawa location has no parking so you must use a bus! No lockers! No WiFi! Bootleg to the max to be honest, all they care about is your money, the teachers are all foreign. One in particular in class we call him the YOUTUBER because he wont answer your questions all he does is talk on slides and leave class early. I won’t recommend this bootleg school! Algonquin college or nothing, this school isn’t even recognizable

  • Great college! I studied hard and it payed off. Started my 2nd career at one of Willis colleges job partners – Sophos. Awesome! Great pay nenifits and stock options. On my first day met over 50 Willis grads!

  • Graduated in 2017. Great College for those who are committed to applying yourself. I studied hard, got an interview set up for me and got hired before I finished my program. In fact, about 75% of the class got offered a job on our co-op and before we graduated with a great salary and good company. Instructors, admin and mgmt. are good. I would highly recommend this college to those who understand that hard work (studying) is the key to success including attitude. Some of my classmate will never succeed cause all they do is complain about everything, when its really just them not being accountable for their actions or should I say not their actions.

  • Graduated from the Executive Business Administration Diploma Program in early 2017,, they got me a placement and I got offered a job during my placement. Very happy with instructors and job placement. Had to study hard, 3-4 hours per day with 4 hour classes. lots to learn if you apply yourself, I did and got my career going. funny, I see some unhappy students in the reviews, not sure why? sure was right for me changing my career, in my early thirties. some were young, 20 -25, don’t understand that you aren’t served on a silver plate and are not committed. sad.

  • thought i would write this review after reading the negative comments- guess only losers write things to complain. I know some in my class will not make it cause they blame everyone else but themselves, in life you get what effort and commitment you put in. I had a great experience, sure there are bad days,
    here’s my story-
graduated in 2016 in the Network Security program. got hired before I graduated. Got industry certifications – A+ Network + Windows Server, CCNA, Fortinet and landed a job over $55K.

  • It’s a bad college. I went there for a course addictions service worker.I was warned by a friend not to take courses at Willis College in Ottawa. I know why now.The teacher looks like someone off the street. Going out to smoke every 10 min.The class I thought it was like a zoo in there every one talking at the same time. No order in the class room. The teacher always 15 to 25 min late and he also very rude to students. Also ending class 25 min before class should end. Asking about personal life from students. I’m a mature student 47 years old and been out of school for 32 years. I thought of going back to school but I wasted my time. They also lied, I got a osap loan and they were saying the books was paid when I was excepted in course but was not . They’re asking for another 1900$ for the books when some aren’t new. I said something about it and they said they don’t sell used books they were upset at me saying they are used and asking 1900$. Stay away from Willis College Ottawa Ontario. Go to a big college where they respect you and have better teachers.

The course itself was excellent. The instructor, Rob, is certainly well read in all aspects of computers. The ‘Yoda’ of computers.

I’m very happy to have attended this college, and landed a fantastic job.

I suggest that the Government do an assessment on this Willis College, the see the results, this school should be closed. All they care about is the money don’t care about student don’t believe and there spills when you visit the campus in Ottawa nothing but lies
It is, sad, two waste government money for this education, what education??? , teachers and staff are useless I wonder where they come from? If you have an IQ of 100% you will be on the teacher’s good list if not teachers don’t care about you.
If I can help one person not to make the same mistake I did by deciding on Willis College I will be happy. This School is dirty and disgusting chairs are all stain and furniture so old I guess paying tuition of 24,000 to 28,000.00 per student Willis can’t afford descent furniture. This is a lot of money wasted I will tell all my family and friends to stay away.

  • They are a for profit scam college. The “teachers” are terrible, and are all from other countries (only reason that they work there). I was told by a friend that it was a good place for the program I was doing – network security. BOY, was he wrong. My friend attended in 2003 so I guess things have changed since then. We were given quizzes that all the exams were based off of. They make a bunch of promises of getting you interviews with big name companies but when you graduate all that is forgotten by the administration. If you have a good memory and don’t care about actually learning anything go here, otherwise STAY AWAY!

    Overall Score: (2.2/5.00)
  • The worst school ever. I thought it would be a stimulating environment, but all we do are “assignments” You’d expect to be given in high school. Absolutely ZERO substance to any of their courses. IF you do get trapped going here, at least take something that has a co-op because any normal employer wouldn’t respect the degree.

  • I am a 2013 graduate with distinct honors. I am very dissatisfied with Willis College, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Other than it being expensive, they did not prepare the students for interviews, nor did they have a co-op program for my course, Business Administration, specializing in Human Resources. The teachers gave you the questions for all exams, so it was a matter of having a good memory to pass this program. I am still not employed in this field and have not received any follow-up for my security clearance application (since April 2013). I’ve made recent contact with the school for my clearance, and have been told that I have to reapply because they didn’t follow up accordingly. If you’re looking for a piece of paper and have a good memory, this is the place to go…. if you’re looking for more, then stay away!!! Good luck!

tough programs, not for the weak -you have to study hard no easy road some students did not do well- those of us who did well came to conclusion that those students always blamed everyone else for failing but did not commit themselves – in life you get what u put into it

That alone makes me second guess my decision for giving these people money to educate me when they have no idea what they are doing or what to teach. When you see this message please please do not give them money it is such a waste and i regret everyday but i’m in it for the long run.

  • Willis is an absolute waste of time. I attended for a few weeks and have never seen a school that is so unorganized. They put their money into select programs while they neglect others. The course I chose was also misrepresented to me in more ways than one, then brushed off when this was brought to their attention by multiple staff members. Sadly, in the end, you have to pay for their unprofessional conduct, not only in wasted time, but also in tuition expenses which they feel they are entitled to.
