One Word Txts

By   |  February 6, 2010

So, I was thinking today… Why do people even bother with one word Txts.

They are a waste of time for both parties…. Why would anyone send a one word txt and not bother carrying on the conversation? Is the beginning of a new type of communication? One where everyone can answer with telecommunication.

No, I think the true answer lies with the people sending those horrible txts.

I believe they want the responding party to ask a more provocative question/statement to catch them off guard and spice up there typical day, or they want you to leave them alone.

But, ff they take the time to send that one word they definitively don’t want you to leave them alone… Right?

So next time anyone receives that you should respond with a outrageous question or statement to see what there response is.

And I bet it will be more then one word unless their response is:

“What!!??”

But I would bet instead of “What!!!??!?” you will receive an answer that will blow your mind.

  1. Here here! the people who give one word replies in text form are typically giving the signal that they are uninterested in what you’re talking about. This is usually done by hipsters who want to control their ‘friends’ like micromachines in order to validate their image. Another example of someone who would send a one-worder would be perhaps some corporate guy in a suit or just someone who pretends to be ‘busy’. Anyways, the one word reply almost always means that the person you’re talking to has lost interest in the conversation because you have seized to offer them anything. They only talk to people they can use or manipulate.

  2. I know what you are talking about here. People in the past, mostly stuck up women who feel you are wasting their time, have sent me these one word txts. I felt they where trying to end the conversation prematurely. It sounds as if you are unlucky and encountered these self centered fools. But dont worry most of use out there care about others and have the decency to act in a friendly way. Txting is a form of communication and everyone should treat it as such.

  3. In the present, many language will be change by teenage.
