3 Student Reviews of George Brown College : Waterfront Campus

  • Possibly the WORST campus if you are getting into the health and fitness promotion program. Without a doubt the waterfront campus is the best looking campus in Toronto, right by the lake, beach and downtown. But don’t judge a book by its cover. The health and fitness promotion program was severely under staffed with one prof teaching a majority of the courses. What really bothers me as well is that the course coordinator is one of these profs. This program will overwhelm you if you can’t stay organized. I started there with around 110 classmates. By the end of second semester their are less than 30. Good luck with that

  • Terrible college , the staff are annoying and just judge on the outside your look, glead I switched to Seneca college while applying Acdaemic career enterantance really rude staff. There more to pick on you even if just applying and just gives that glears at your face and purposly side what is unnecessary ways. Than I came form far away form Downtown and now I know to apply somewhere else. If your ever attendding to apply upgrade never in this college and I had been out of school for long time but I attened to seneca college.

  • I just thought that it was time to stand up for the Personal Support Worker Student. The program at George Brown was a major joke. It mostly felt as if the school was teaching me to be a 5th grader again. The majority of the classes are out dated and the text book references are based on internet research such as about.com. This program needs to have some over-site and accountability. One thing that I cannot stand, was having a teacher (They call themselves professors but are really not educated in that manner.) create slides that are ridden with spelling mistakes and information that is non-coherent. I would suggest that the PSW program not be such a waist of time and have a better hiring process for teachers. The best way to teach this program would be to have on the job training and maybe some conflict management classes. Also to treat it like a trade job instead of teaching students that they have some sort of expertise in the healthcare industry, when really all they have is a certificate to take care of their grandmother and their doesn’t know who they are or what a certificate is for.
