To all nurses who contemplate attending this school, my advice is to choose different school. These people are scammers, college is not accredited by any nursing body. You will waste time and money, obtaining degree, which will not be considered a real nursing degree. Even after timely withdrawal, these people charged me almost 2k for something. I only attended classes for one day. Teachers do not respond to any requests and do not help with assignments. Stay away from this school, these people are cheats. Awful school. Go someplace else.
I have to agree with ‘T’, COncorde is a JOKE. It is true it is self taught. Even though it is considered an ‘accelerated program’ and you have to teach yourself to keep up, the instructors do not necessarily teach from the book, they teach from their ‘experience’ then try to cover it with terms like ‘the real world’. The instructors have a history of being condescending to the students when the students ask questions to clarify some topic. The skills lab was anything but state of the art, as I was told it was when I first talked to Concorde. You pretend you have the equipment you need. Our clinicals are an absolute joke…we have had Endocrine, neuro, Musculoskeletal, Respiratory, Cardiovascular etc in a NURSING HOME. The ONLY way this is being accepted is because (in my opinion) the school labels the clinicals for the area we are covering in class. During all this clinical time I have NOT had any patients that I could work with regarding the course content. For example, in Respiratory, during the entire clinical time, I had ONE five minute breathing treatment to do. Our documentation is to cover the Respiratory issue, so it has to show certain things. But never have I had any pertinent patient to utilize skills. Since day one our clinicals have been the same…assess patient, check on patient every two hours MAYBE pass meds, do a database and document (highlighting in some way the clinical we are in). OUT OF ALL THE SKILLS WE LEARNED IN CLASS, I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO USE/PRACTICE MAYBE 10%, WHICH IS A HIGH ESTIMATE.
Anyone who considers going to Concorde needs to seriously re-examine their options. For the 30K is costs to attend, you receive maybe 2K worth of education. Concorde claims a HIGH graduation rate, but they base this on the number of people who complete the program NOT the number who started. Our class started with 30, some flunked out, some got fed up and quit, etc. We are now down to 12…that is less than 50% of the total who started the program. That alone should say something.
This is the worst school i have ever gone to i had not paid upfront and knew i would have gotten my money back i would be gone along with my entire class. The teachers are not good they speak to you like your stupid and when you ask a ? the act like they shouldnt have to anwser you HELLO i paid to learn arent you the teacher .. i said to one of them. Our entire class hates the place it is a joke i will be suprised if any of us who (org. there were 33 now there are 12) made it thru actually passed the boards and if you did congrats you taught yourself!!!
I would not recommend the LPN night program to my worst enemy. It is very unorganized and the instructors half the time don’t even know the material….and then they talk to you like your an idiot and say what didnt you read your chapter??? When they don’t even know what they are talking about. Then with clinical sites thats a joke you dont even get to do the correct clinicals at the correct places. Oh and the lab they have you have to pretend with everything….no hands on period until clinical then you look like an idiot because you have no idea what your doing. Don’t waste your money!
