9 Most Wanted Terrorists (After Osama bin Laden)
Osama bin Laden may be dead, and the “War on Terror” over, but there are still nine men on the FBI’s most wanted list. Who are these men, and what makes them so dangerous? From bottom to top here are the usual suspects.
10. Abdullah Ahmed Abdullah: Born in 1963, Abdullah fled Egypt to unite with other Islamic fugitives. He has a had long history of Al-Qaeda involvement, from forging passports to operating training camps in Afganestan. He is on the FBI wanted list for his involvement in the 1998 American embassy bombings in Dar as Saalam, Tanzania, and Nairobi.
9. Hasan Izz-Al-Din: Also born in 1963, Hasan is an alleged member of Hezbolla, a Shi’a Muslim militant group and political party based in Lebanon. He is on the wanted list for his alleged involvement in the June 14, 1985 hijacking of TWA Flight 847 which resulted in the death of United Sates Navy diver Robert Stethem.
8. Ali Atwa: Along with Hassan Izz-Al-Din, Ali Atwa is believed to be a member of Hezbolla. Although he was bumped from the flight (and therefore was not onboard) he is wanted for his involvement of the 1985 hijacking of TWA Flight 847.
7. Mohammed Ali Hammadi: Along with Ali Atwa and Hassan Izz-Al-Din, Hammadi was involved in the highjacking of TWA Flight 847. He was convicted of murder, air pircacy, and possension of explosives by a West German court in 1987 and recieved a jail sentence of 19 years, but was paroled in 2005. There is some controvesy over his parole, and it is belived that his freedom was exchanged for the release of German archeologist Susan Osthoff, who had been abucted in Iraq one month earlier. The FBI has considered him a fugative since 2005.
6. Jamal Ahmad Mohammad Ali Al Badawi: A native of Yemen, Badawi was indited in 2003 for an attempted attack on the USS The Sullivans. In 2004 he was sentenced to death for the 2000 attack on the USS Cole which killed 17 Americans. He escaped a Yemen prison twice and is now at large.
5. Fahd Mohammed Ahmed al-Quso: Operating under many aliases, Al-Quso was at one point belived to have been dead, Al Quso is wanted for his partial funding of the 9/11 attacks as well as his involvment in several bombings including the USS Cole.

Ayman Muhammad Rabaie al-Zawahiri: An Islamic theologian and Al-Qaeda leader, Al-Zawahiri has been involved in many Islamic militant atacks, but is probably best known for having been Osama bin-Laden’s Lietenant and right-hand man. He remains wanted for his involvement in the 1998 American Embassy bombings in Dar es Saalam, Tanzania, and Narobi.
3. Daniel Andreas San Diego: San Diego is a bit of a wildcard on this list as his accused acts of terror have nothing to do with political fanaticism. Born in Berkley California, San Diego is a vegan, strait-edge, animal rights activist who is believed to have had a role in two bombings in 2003. Both targets were clients of Huntingdon Life Sciences, a UK-based animal testing company. Revolutionary Cells-Animal Liberation Brigade claimed responsability for both attacks via email. Although the FBI cannot tie San Diego to the emails, they belive he has ties to the organisation claiming responsabliity. San Diego was under 24 hour police surveillance, but disappeared in October of 2003.
2. Adam Yahiye Gadahn: Adam Yahiye Gadahn was born Adam Pearlman in 1978 in Oregon. His father was Phil Pearlman, a popular American folk musician in the sixties and seventies. Adam converted to Islam in 1995 and moved to Pakistan three years later. He then married, and continued to contact his family in the states until March of 2001. Soon afterwards he became a senior comander to Osama Bin Laden. He produced and was present in a number of Al-Qaeda videos as “Azzam the American”. He is wanted by the FBI for his participation in the creation of these videos, and for “providing aid and comfort to” Al-Qaeda.
1. ?????: With Osama bin-Laden now dead, there is speculation as to who will take his place at the top of the FBI wanted list. While there are at least 29 other terrorists with ties to Al-Qaeda, it is expected that Ayman Muhammad Rabaie al-Zawahiri will take his place at number one.
